Carlo Rocuant was born in Valparaíso, Chile. From a young age he discovered his photography sensitivity when walking through the old streets and stairs from the port. At the time, photography was analogous and you can only see the result in the dark room. When he was 18 he developed his first black and white picture using a mechanic Réflex Zenit 122 camera. It was a gift from his father. The picture was taken in “Muelle Prat” Valparaíso in 1994.
He graduated as a Graphic Designer (Viña del Mar, Chile) when the digital era had started; Then, He decided to create his own visual communication laboratory. Photos, illustrations and designs were embodied of creativity there.
Every shot is a brief moment. Natural scenes, portraits, cities every place where he sets his eyes are captured in a shot with his camera.
In 2013 he traveled to Europe to improve his knowledge in "Studio Lighting Photography" in “Escuela de Fotografía Mavi Arsalaguet” in Barcelona.
Today, He lives near one of the most active volcanos of the world in the south of Chile. From there he begins his photographic trips.
